Softub vs Acrylic

Many of the processes and manufacturing techniques used to create Softubs are patented and Softub Canada continues to set new industry standards for innovations in portable hot tub design. Softub Canada employs a team of engineers that devote themselves to making the most comfortable, energy efficient and enjoyable spa on the market.

Site Prep
All you need is a level surface-indoors or out. You don’t have to spend extra for construction or a concrete pad.
Excavation, construction or concrete pad sometimes necessary for permanent location.
A Softub plugs into a regular household outlet. We also include a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter. All you do is plug it in.
Installation of extra amperage or 220V – 60amp line is normally needed. Additional GFCI purchase required.
Delivery is quick and easy. One person can set up a Softub in just minutes!
Costly crew, placement, plumbing, electrician costs. Crane sometimes necessary.
You can easily roll a Softub through a standard doorway, up or down stairs, or across a yard. The heaviest component weighs less than 95 pounds.
Cumbersome. Difficult or impossible to move. Typically 400-900 pounds.
A Softub is easily moved from place to place, indoors or outdoors AND you will keep your warranty even if you move!
Usually not practical due to weight and site preparation. Someitmes moving will break tub or void warranty.
For all their power and features, Softub® spas are remarkably simple to operate. In a climate with an average 65°F temperature, the typical Softub spa requires just 2 kw hours of electricity per day to stay 106°F and ready to use. At 8¢ per kw hour, that would be just 16¢ a day, or $5.00 per month.*
Separate heating element is expensive to operate and replace. Monthly cost approx. $20-$60.
Thermal Lid
All Softub spas include an insulated, folding, lockable lid to reduce any heat loss.
May be an accessory and an added cost.
Jet Power
Strategically placed, interchangeable hydrojets provide powerful hydrotherapy.
Hydrotherapy often uneven due to number and configuration of jets.
Softubs have no hard surfaces or hidden depths. The low profile allows for easy entry and exit. A practical choice for all ages.
Must use caution with slippery surfaces and hard corners. Dangerous hidden depths and suction intakes. Not always safe for all age groups.
Softub spas have a padded surface that’s as comfortable as an easy chair.
Hard surface resembles a concrete floor.
Go ahead and stretch out! Spacious, open barrier-free seating allows a variety of positions and activities. Ideal for water exercises!
Molded plastic assigned seats restrict activity and positioning. Sometimes the seats don’t always “fit” the user.
A Softub is always hot and ready to use – 24 hours a day.
The bottom line is that Softub is more
convenient, more comfortable and less expensive!
